04/18/2016:Market conditions allow us to cancel the General Rate Increase effective 04/15/16.Carrier actions for mid-May are unfortunately unpredictable in light of the current outlook on pre-bookings. 01/01/2016:Carriers are apparently anticipating demand increases in advance of Chinese New Year. They took the rather unusual position to extend contract rates subject to the General Rate Increase on 01/01/16 only for 14 days, hoping to be able to push rates higher mid-month after forward bookings for the next month have been fully analyzed.
