If your imports are subject to regulation by the FDA (Food & Drug Administration), please be advised that CBP (Customs and Border Protection) has just released official information (here) that effective June 15th, 2016 ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) will be the sole CBP-authorized EDI (Electronic Data Interface) system for electronic entry and entry summary filings for merchandise subject to import requirements of the FDA for most entry types. What this means to you as an importer is that FDA will likely require new and/or additional information that you must supply to your customs broker for your merchandise to be cleared and delivered to you.We will be contacting clients subject to FDA with specific requirement information so they can make arrangements to get the required information from the suppliers as needed and provide it to us.
