General Strike Planned In Brazil

The 24-hour strike in Brazil interrupted daily life around the country but did not have a widespread impact on cargo movements.

Brazil’s Central Workers’ Union (CUT) has called for a nationwide general strike on April 28, 2017, in protest of the government’s austerity policies.
The strike is expected to have an impact on airlines and other public sector work, and might affect port operations, too.
