The 290 feet wingspan of the Antonov An-225, the largest airplane in the world that holds a few world records, besides the one for the largest wingspan also the one for an airlifted single-item payload of 189,980 kilograms (418,830 pounds) and the one for an airlifted total payload of 253,820 kg (559,580 lb).

With a length of 275 feet and 7 inches It is also the longest operational aircraft in the world.

And it takes an astonishing 32 wheels in the landing gear system to support the maximum takeoff weight of 640,000 kg (1,410,958 lb) that this plane can handle.

The plane, the only one of its kind, was designed in the 1980s in the Soviet Union as a support plane for the Soviet space program and is today operated by Ukrainian Antonov Airlines.
