US export controls are most commonly centered around the ECCN (Export Control Classification Number). If you are exporting, you also need to be aware of the CHPL or Common High Priority List. The CHPL is a list of items based on the Harmonized System (HS) Code that Russia is seeking to procure for its weapons programs. This list contains everything from electronic integrated circuits, electrical transformers, optical devices, lathes, to spherical roller bearings. If you are exporting items on the CHPL, we encourage you to bolster your compliance efforts on those products. You may review the CHPL here.

As always, denied party screening (DPS) is a must for all exports, but especially to those trouble spots around the world. If you need any assistance with DPS, V. Alexander can provide you with a DPS solution for your needs.
